This specimen of Famatinite is one the ten best Famatinite specimens found in a one-time find at the Quiruvilca Mine, Peru.

It was in my private collection for the last 10 years and is from the collection of Georg Gebhard, who was the co-author of "Die Weltbesten Kristalle von Famatinit und Luzonit," 1998 in Lapis, vol. 23, No. 9, pp. 35-37.

The title of the article translates as, "The World's Finest Crystals of Famatinite and Luzonite." This article documents the find and describes the exceptional quality of the Famatinite specimens.
